Job Description:
WideOrbit is looking for a top notch IT professional to be the owner of WideOrbit?s cloud technology and systems. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual to gain a deeper understanding of cloud technology. As our Cloud Technical Client Manager, you will develop processes aimed at increasing our technology?s availability, performance, and customers? satisfaction. If you?re interested in learning about the media industry and interacting with customers while being the WideOrbit cloud expert, this could be the right job for you!
What You?ll Do:
Work with WO Cloud clients and staff to resolve issues related to the operation of WideOrbit software in the Cloud.
Develop expert technical knowledge of WideOrbit?s cloud maintenance techniques and tools. Work with the tools on a daily basis, and improve the techniques over time.
Develop monitoring scripts associated with database management, security, software storage, network and communications systems.
Anticipate and react swiftly to service outages and slowdowns in the WideOrbit cloud. Take ownership of service issues and drive them to resolution.
Be prepared to get your own hands dirty solving problems but also know when to hand off to other technical experts.
Create technical documentation for clients and for technical staff at WideOrbit.
Prepare reports and documentation updates; research best practices, new tools and technology; and interact with internal and external teams.
What Qualifications We Are Looking For:
3+ years of experience in technical solutions, technical support, and/or network engineering.
Proven abilities to be a true problem solver.
Strong desire and enjoyment working with people and providing excellent customer service.
Facility with scripting languages and communication protocols.
Experience running basic SQL commands to query information and working with XML.
Knowledge of windows services and service restart procedures.
Ability to manage and prioritize IT projects with limited supervision
Strong IT skills and a good understanding of the internals and workings of MS Windows 2008 Server, Cisco devices, and experience with the Linux OS.
Ability to collect and analyze facts, identify problems, and provide solutions.
