The DepartmentManufacturing/Production â€" One of the most critical needs we now have at SpaceX is for Manufacturing/Production staff. With two vehicles flight proven, we have a $3 billion backlog of sold flights. The next critical phase is proving our ability to build rockets with increasing speed while maintaining quality in order to meet the markets high demand. We are looking to add manufacturing staff throughout the company.
Technicians and Trade Skills â€" SpaceX is continuing to build our highly skilled technician and trades workforce; the extensive in house development and production capabilities at SpaceX would not be possible without their contributions. The JobResponsibilities- Responsible for setting up, operating and programming CNC Mill machines
- Must be proficient at all types of drilling, tapping and milling
- Must be able to complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions
- Must have experience with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials
- Must have experience working with Fanuc controls.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience in set up, operation and programming of CNC Mill machines.
- Experience with Bridgeport horizontal 2 axis.
- Experience with 2 Trak Mills 3 axis.
- Experience with Hardinge small lathe.
- Prefer Candidates with Mastercam experience
- Horizontal Mill experience preferred (but not required)
- 5 axis programming is a plus (but not required)
- Experience running lathe machines is a plus (but not required)
- Ability to read and work off of a blueprint
- Strong interpersonal skills including, but not limited to, contributing to a team-oriented environment, balancing team and individual responsibilities.
- Physical Requirements: Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting
- Must be available to work 2nd shift hours
- Ability to work overtime, as needed
