We are currently recruiting for a Collections Specialist to be responsible for managing and collecting a portfolio of accounts in a high volume work environment.
Works independently to manage customer portfolio of 250+ domestic and international accounts, ensuring timely turnover of accounts receivable.
Contact business-to-business customers via email and phone for resolution regarding delinquent accounts.
Responsible for noting collection activity for each item on assigned accounts, while maintaining accuracy of customer contacts.
Works with sales to resolve disputed items on the customer ledger to ensure prompt payment.
Recommends credit hold, write-off and third party action for customers not meeting prompt payment standards as defined by management.
Responsible for reconciling customer accounts, includes resolving unapplied payments within 60 days.
Requests customer adjustments timely and accurately.
Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Minimum of 2+ years related work experience.
Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
College degree preferred, not required.
Ability to multi-task and effectively utilize Outlook, Excel and accounting software simultaneously.
Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
Must enjoy constant change.
Willingness to delve into the details.
Strong organizational skills required, including the capacity to handle large volume of email.
Should be familiar with credit and collection laws and practices.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
Experience with an ERP system preferred (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics.)
Digital marketing or e-commerce industry experience preferred. Willingness to learn required.
