Codecademy is looking for smart college student engineers with a track record of having built, and shipped, web applications. We are looking for both frontend and backend engineers. It doesn't matter if you haven't decided what you want to specialize in. It does matter that you are intense in your desire to learn and improve, and that you love to program and build things.Responsibilities
All new graduates do the same work as experienced engineers.
Frontend engineers implement UI/UX features, build tools and frameworks to simplify development
Backend engineers work on building scalable systems and are comfortable working on all aspects of the stack
Required
A history of shipping interesting and well constructed web applications
Strong experience with at least a few modern web languages/technologies (e.g. we use Javascript/Backbone.js, Ruby/Rack/Rails, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra)
Track record of excellence in your chosen pursuits

The coding project will be reviewed by our team and a further technical screen will take place
This is followed by a phone screen with a non-technical team member
Successful candidates will then be invited to NYC for an onsite visit for final round interviews
