This is an exciting and rewarding position in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment within the industrial digital printing industry located in Mt. Pleasant, SC. We are looking for an ambitious Color or Imaging Science Engineer whom we can offer an excellent career path along with a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience. Strong computer skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills are a must. Some travel required.
Responsibilities Include:
Conduct tests on printer and printing workflow software systems
Support color management initiatives for key accounts and partners
Assessing color and image quality of output printed on a variety of substrates
Develop and implement new methods and algorithms for managing color on digital printing systems
Work with customers to define and address specific color requirements
Develop and implement processes and procedures for color matching and color/image quality
Validation of new color and imaging technologies
Experience and Skills:
Minimum 4-year college degree required in Color Science, Imaging Science, Imaging and Photographic Technology or Physics
Familiarity with inkjet printing systems a definite plus
Strong skills in color management, color theory, color perception and ICC profile generation
C++/Java Coding skills a plus
Experience color matching on textiles beneficial
Experience with color measurement devices and profiling tools
Experience with Windows and Mac based graphics applications such as
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (Adobe Creative Suite)
RIP software such as Ergosoft, Wasatch, and Onyx
