Description
Position Summary:
The Commercial Analytics Analyst develops and delivers business insights to the commercial team through integration of secondary data sources, primary research, and custom analyses.
Responsibilities:
Provides accurate and in-depth analyses to cross functional leadership teams and serves as an integral part of the extended commercial team(s).
Collaborates with the Marketing team to fulfill data analysis needs in support of key strategic initiatives which balance personal and non-personal promotion.
Executes promotion response modeling and develops and delivers clear and concise presentations of model results to appropriate audiences.
Supports initiatives to segment and track physician behavior focused on driving optimal promotional efforts leveraging expertise in manipulation of large data sets using software such as SAS or Microsoft SQL
Participates on cross-functional teams bringing an enhanced understanding of available data, analyses, and brand performance
Supports the evaluation of Business Development opportunities. Provides recommendations for analysis in support of decisions.
Supports data assets of the organization including maintenance of datasets and advancement of data warehouse initiative. Advances the level of automation in order to provide more efficient use of data resources.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
BA/BS required, MBA preferred.
1-3 years in the pharmaceutical industry or in business analytics consulting including experience in Analytics, Market Research and/or Sales Analytics, Software Development, Database Architecture, Project Management.
Highly proficient analytical and software skills aimed at data analysis.
Strong ability to effectively analyze/interpret market research data to identify risks to the company.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Office and SAS(preferred)
Proficient in the use and interpretation of pharmaceutical data including physician and claims level data sets
Ability to work independently while leveraging effective time management skills
