Epocrates seeks an experienced Product Manager who will be responsible for the evolution of innovative products that satisfy the commercial and research needs of healthcare stakeholders while providing clinical benefits to practicing healthcare professionals
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position will include all facets of product management, from market research and pilot testing to full commercial launch including all go-to-market activities. Specifically, the Product Manager will:
- Set strategic vision of product portfolio
- Conduct market sizing and understand the target market
- Develop product visions and business plans to drive company business objectives
- Drive tactical execution of line extensions and new offerings
- Work with cross-functional teams from marketing, business development, engineering and sales t to refine and execute the product vision
- Interface effectively with third-party partners, vendors and developers
- Develop and execute full product go-to-market plans
- Conduct competitive assessments to ensure market leading positions
- Act as a commercial leader within the company
Skills
- Strong experience driving strategy and tactical execution of B2B products
- Ability to make sound product decisions based on internal (business) and external (customer) requirements
- Understand trade-off decisions regarding total product lifecycle management â€" in-line, line extensions and new offerings
- Ability to understand customer experience and user interface design
- Strong analytical skills
- Affinity for change and ability to work well under pressure
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years product management experience
- Bachelors degree required (MBA preferred)
- Track record of successfully defining and managing healthcare stakeholder products throughout the entire product life cycle
- Critical thinking skills and penchant for problem solving
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Domain expertise in healthcare is preferable
