Role
You will work with the Communications Manager to gain hands-on experience by building brand awareness with cost-effective PR, traditional marketing, and social media marketing tactics, including:
Track and monitor Howcast?s reputation and media coverage
Maintain and update press hits and master media database; develop targeted media lists for new campaigns
Assist in social media monitoring and engagement across social networking platforms
Draft PR materials, including interview backgrounders, blog posts, and more
Help plan company and industry events
Track industry happenings and learn how they affect the company
Be an integral part of a fast-growing company?s marketing efforts
Skills
Strong written and inter-personal communication skills
Genuine interest in emerging digital media and social media platforms and marketing tactics
Ability to engage thoughtfully and usefully to enhance company profile on social networking sites
Keen attention to detail and good organization skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring you to work with agility across teams
Ability to work effectively with team members and take direction
Familiarity with the following software/services preferred: Google Docs, Microsoft Office
