As our first ever communications manager, you will be involved in everything from working with internal and external partners on creating a content strategy to setting up operational frameworks for our two biggest channels, email and social media. You are someone who can operate both at a strategic and execution level. Your work will be at the heart of our revolution in online education because you will own a large part of the way we communicate to students. From vision setting to rolling up your sleeves to do AB testing, you are in a rapidly changing global landscape of education, and you will need to adapt and learn quickly to thrive in this dynamic environment.

As a Communications Manager, you will:
Create channel content strategy for Coursera?s acquisition, activation, engagement, resurrection funnels utilizing email and social media
Design and execute activation and engagement campaigns across multiple channels including the following:
Responsible for the continued success and growth of the email/CRM channel
Manage end-to-end email production process for all email campaigns
Ensure high inbox deliverability rate, open rate, click through rate, and conversions for all email campaigns
Optimize results for email campaigns by working with creative team on A/B testing content
Work closely with engineering and analytics team to manage current and future state of email features
Be the expert on email best practices/technologies/trends
Relentlessly measure and understand effectiveness of email communication
Lead content strategy for Facebook, Twitter, G+ and Blog by working with External (University and Organizational Partners) and Internal (Partnership and Product Teams) stakeholders.
Relentlessly measure growth of SM channels
Work closely with Growth team PM and engineers to influence directions of product, features and global expansion strategies.
Who are you? Among many other things, you have:
2-4 years of experience in a marketing/communications role with emphasis on content strategy
Strong writing and communication skills
Strong knowledge of email and social media best practices
Experience in experimental design and A/B testing
Familiarity with basic HTML, database management and some SQL knowledge, which is a plus
A passion for and instinct about effective communication as it relates to learning, online education, and Coursera?s mission and values
