Communications Manager Role
This individual contributor role will report to the senior director of corporate communications and work cross-functionally to translate company and divisional objectives into a synchronized communications strategy against various constituencies. He/she role will be responsible for managing and executing several aspects of the company?s comprehensive and multichannel communications plan, working tightly with the full resources of the marketing team.
This person has demonstrated an ability to:
Develop continuous stream of new stories, work with divisions/relationship owners to gain agreement from brands/agencies/publishers to participate & pitch to press outlets
Write compelling pitches to reporters
Filter media requests, coordinate responses with guidance from senior director
Follow up on media coverage to ensure company is correctly positioned
Write press releases, blog posts and other marketing collateral with little to moderate editing--
Produce/direct editorial-style videos (editing skills a plus)
Map out upcoming speaking opportunities, schedule deadlines for speaker proposal submissions, write submissions, and track responses
Use media-monitoring and social-media tools to synthesize metrics and create compelling reports for senior management
Proactively provide updates to senior director on an ongoing/daily/weekly basis as needed
Establish PR and social media success metrics and track consistently
Contribute well-informed ideas to bolster the company?s comprehensive communications, media relations and social media program
College degree required
3-5 years of PR/corporate communications experience, both agency and in-house preferred
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
Polished presentation and interpersonal skills
Proven relationships with reporters in ad vertical
Must grasp technical concepts quickly and be able to articulate simply
Ability and passion to be extremely knowledgeable about video space/our products
Willingness to travel
