We're looking for a jack-of-all-trades with a knack for making someone's day and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once to be our next Community Ambassador.You have experience working with people from all corners of the globe and you understand the importance of relationships - community members are your friends and colleagues, and you treat them as such. You have a wide open mind and are passionate about working with people who wear their ideas on their shirtsleeves. Making those ideas a reality is your ultimate goal. Most importantly, you are excited by the challenge of building the greatest collaborative community the world has ever seen.
Oh, also, you need to speak French. Not Berlitz French. Real French. Quirky is expanding into France big time and we're looking to you to be a leader in a community of French inventors and influencers. Your spoken and written French must be stellar. And your English language skills must be great too.
Your day to day will be part customer support, part community engagement, and part project management. You will work closely with our Head of Community, Community Director, Invention Ambassadors, and Community Support staff to provide the best experience possible for each and every member of the Quirky community, and especially our French-speaking members.
Respond to customer and community member inquiries ranging from questions about products to submitting new invention ideas.
Act as the face of Quirky for new and old community members alike.
Constantly strive to make the community team perform better and to increase the visibility of the Quirky community.
Manage Quarterly projects and customer requests.
Nurture and manage relationships with top community members.
Work closely with Platform Engineering and Platform Design teams to improve and add to the Quirky platform.
Collaborate with Quirky Invention Ambassadors to find great invention ideas and advocate on behalf of their inventors.
Monitor and measure team and individual performance to ensure consistent growth.
Fluent in both spoken and written French and comfortable wearing a beret.
2-4 years of customer support, community management, team management, and/or social media experience.
College degree or really great dropout story.
Able to understand complexities, simplify them, and explain them to others.
Excellent writing skills (French and English) and ability to adapt style to meet the needs of the team.
A great bilingual communicator who people love talking to.
Attention to details and quick follow through.
A doer who plans, informs, and acts as quickly as possible.
Ability to manage projects and people effectively and efficiently.
An entrepreneurial spirit.
