THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED With a mountain of user data to dig through and analyze, the Huffington Post community tech team is looking for a someone passionate about data analysis. We are interested in using data to to help surface and promote our best users. Through database querying and statistical programs like R, you will have years' worth of user data to help build the foundations for a robust and meaningful reputation system. Any patterns, models, or algorithms you develop could be implemented and affect hundreds of thousands of users daily!
Basic statistical or applied math knowledge
Basic SQL, or a willingness to learn it
Proficiency with a statistical program language, including SAS or R
Proficiency with Excel
Strong Communication skills
