The Community Insights Analyst will spend their day working with tons of interesting data - from transactional records to site log data to primary research ? all to help us understand how the Community Operations team is performing and where we need to be. The successful candidate will be someone that enjoys alternating between deep dive data analyses and day-to-day reporting and operations. He or she will be naturally curious, meticulous, super dependable and equally comfortable interacting with engineers, data scientists and customer support reps alike.
Our Community Insights Analyst will:
Manage the weekly and monthly Etsy Member Experience Survey and Support Satisfaction Survey, which includes pulling the right names, sending out the survey, analyzing data and documenting/reporting insights learned.
Support Seller Development and Customer Support teams with ad hoc data pulls and analyses.
Advocate and provide thought leadership on how to use the data we have available to make better decisions.
Design and perform deep dive analyses and experiments to help answer big picture strategic questions--e.g. how do we get more members to use the Etsy help page? How do we target sellers with educational content at the precise moment they need it?
Measure the efficacy of specific seller education campaigns and events.
Help create Support forecasts and track targets for the team.
Always ensure that we start by articulating what we want to measure and why.
About Community Operations
The Community Operations team encompasses both Customer Support and Seller Development teams. Support Help Page is effective at solving member problems. Seller Development focuses on making sellers more successful on the site by holding workshops, publishing articles and videos, and helping sellers self-organize and become resources to each other. Both teams as a whole work to surface member trends and feedback to the rest of the company.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Digital Marketing or other related field (or other recognized geek street cred)
A mind for business
Excellent SQL skills and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications
3+ years in big data, product or Web analytics
Qualities of a self-starter, be hands-on, work well in a team environment
The ability to balance precision and rigor with the needs of a start-up, high growth environment
Experience in consumer research (a plus)
