Who we are: In addition to a fully-integrated network management and help desk app, The Spiceworks Community is home to over 2 million IT pros and 1,300 tech vendors who connect with one another and talk all things tech. And they?re quite the lively bunch ? selecting an orange T-Rex (SpiceRex) as their force-to-be-reckoned with mascot. The Community is integral to what Spiceworks is all about ? simplifying IT in a cool, fun, be yourself atmosphere. And you?ll play an essential role in helping keep the Community a friendly, welcoming place for each and every user.
What you?ll do: You?ll use your IT knowledge and community engagement skills to help moderate our sometimes- rambunctious IT pros and help everyone from the Spiceworks employee force to SpiceRex learn the ins-and-outs of the Community. You?ll become a Community celeb, jump-starting conversations on the latest IT trends and interviewing IT experts and tech vendors. You?ll help us organize and curate content to deliver an amazing experience to our users. And, if you?re lucky, you might even get to star in a Spiceworks video!
Responsibilities: What will I do?
Talk shop with 2 million of your closest IT friends.
Organize and curate product reviews and IT articles and content
Moderate daily Community activity (those feisty, bacon-loving users!)
Answer internal and external questions about the Community
Research and write about the latest IT news and products
Build relationships with Spiceworks advocates and vendors
Attend Spiceworks events
Qualifications: What does it take to do this job?
IT experience as a systems or network administrator
A love for social media and blogging
Experience as a community manager or volunteer community moderator
Excellent written communication skills ? friends and family call you a perfectionist!
A level-head and sound judgment
Passion to excel, creative nature, and sense of ownership
