Description:
The community manager is the focal point for Infobright open source community users. The community manager will help ICE users be successful by managing the ICE forums, publish blogs, videos and other forms of communications about our products, and provide a strong voice via social media. Other key deliverables are to help grow the community, and be the voice of the community back to the Company.
Ensure timely responses to technical forums
Do outreach to other open source communities and meetup groups and present at meetups and key industry events
Actively engage with community members via external blogs, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Serve as Product Manager for Champaign-based Infobright intern projects
Update infobright.org with material of interest to the community
Report weekly status of the community
Write and publish weekly blog posts for Infobright?s community
Script and produce YouTube videos
Key Requirements:
Software development, database administration or computer engineering background
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Experience with front-end Business Intelligence Tools (Pentaho, Jaspersoft, Microstrategy, etc.)
Social media-savvy and experience using tools to develop videos, podcasts etc
Outgoing personality
Occasional travel
