Autodesk's Consumer Products group is seeking three community managers to help us build and grow the communities of 123D, Pixlr, and Sketchbook. This is a posting for three separate positions that will each focus on one of our communities while still working closely with both the other community managers and the Instructables team.
Responsibilities include:
Helping authors create amazing content
Setting expectations and tone for the community by creating content -- when applying please send example pieces of content you have authored using our tools
Designing and running contests
Being the voice of our authors and representing them to the product managers, product designers, and engineers
Handling service and support requests
Engaging with the community through updates and blogs posts about the products or related topics
Candidates should:
Be passionate about our communities and tools -- we typically prefer to hire from within our existing communities
Have strong writing and communication skills
Have a thick skin and always be nice when we mess up and our passionate users are upset about it
Be analytical and able to demonstrate success quantitatively
Be adaptable and flexible to navigate an environment that is constantly evolving
All three positions are located in San Francisco, and will spend significant time at the Instructables lab working closely with the Instructables community managers.
Please send a resume, cover letter, portfolio, and any other useful information to iwannawork at instructables dot com. Please be specific as to which of the three community manager roles you are applying to. Make the subject of your email robot-related, and, if possible, witty.
