The Community Marketing intern will be responsible for supporting our the developer community surrounding MongoDB. MongoDB reaches about 8 million developers globally and the community intern will have the opportunity learn how to market open source software directly to the developers who use it. This is a great opportunity to learn more about startup marketing practices, MongoDB, open source, technology and the database marketplace.
Plan a hackathon for MongoDB in New York City
Create guides and resources for new MongoDB community groups and global hackathons
Plan and execute on activities related to MongoDB?s annual birthday party
Create and manage email templates and marketing schedules for community events
Self starter who is smart, driven, and hard working
Interested in technology, startup culture, and new tools
Organized, detail-oriented and competent at managing multiple, simultaneous tasks
Willing to learn lots of new things in a constantly changing environment
Creative and innovative -- able to introduce new ideas to augment existing concepts
Marketing interns at MongoDB build broad experience with community management, lead generation, marketing processes and CRM tools. In addition, interns gain exposure to all aspects of MongoDB?s business through professional development lectures and mentorship. Past interns have joined the company in full time positions after graduation.
This is a 10-week internship based in MongoDB?s NYC office. The internship offers a competitive salary.
