We are seeking a full-time Community Engagement Leader to help launch and grow our first innovative medical practices in the Seattle market. Our initial practices will specialize in care for seniors, from new retirees to elderly patients.
The Iora Community Engagement Leader will be based in Seattle and will work directly with Iora Health staff in Cambridge, MA as well as practice staff in Seattle to manage patient marketing and community outreach efforts. This is an ideal position for someone with a sales, community organizing or marketing background who would like to be part of an entrepreneurial health care organization. Specific tasks will include:
Cultivating deep relationships with potential patients and their loved ones to help them navigate an increasingly complex set of circumstances in aging
Building relationships with local organizations to improve health care for members of the community
Developing our local presence in the Seattle health care market
Employing a variety of tactics that incorporate both grassroots organizing and traditional marketing approaches - including eventing planning for health fairs, open houses and educational sessions
Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve Iora Health?s patient recruitment strategy, tactics, and materials
Partnering closely with local care teams, sponsor colleagues, and Iora Health corporate office staff
Tracking patient recruitment progress in an easy-to-use patient relationship management tool to keep our enrollment ahead of plan, and championing the use of that tool
Adhering to all the highest level of compliance expectations, including federal, state and local regulations as well as Iora Health and sponsor guidelines
The ideal candidate will possess:
A self starter interested in joining an organization striving to restore humanity to health care
A passion for helping vulnerable/elderly populations
An engaging personality and comfort with interpersonal interactions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that can be applied to different audiences in a variety of settings (public speaking, one-on-one, phone, email, etc)
Ability to engage prospective patients through a variety of channels
Familiarity with the local Seattle community and an ability to leverage knowledge to organize successful marketing events
Comfort with the use of technology and a willingness to learn new applications
The ability to use data to drive activities
Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity
Willingness to develop new skills and ability to receive feedback and learn from mistakes
3+ years of marketing, business development, sales, community organizing, political campaigning or event planning experience preferred
Access to personal transportation, as this role will involve a substantial amount of travel within the Seattle area
Experience using a customer relationship management tool a plus
Deep understanding of Medicare a plus
