About the Job:
We?re looking to hire a Community Specialist to manage programs that focus on growing and nurturing the Twilio developer community including marketing initiatives to help drive growth. This role will be an integral part of the community marketing team and report to the Community Programs Manager. If you?re passionate about community building and empowering developers, we want to hear from you.
Your job will be to drive local community partnerships and initiatives around meetups, developer-focused and entrepreneurial events, incubators and accelerators. You will contribute to major community programs that have major impact on the Twilio developer user base. You will have the opportunity to support on social and blog content, as well as long term strategy with the team.
Plan and execute events for the San Francisco Twilio meetup group.
Drive the expansion of Twilio meetups worldwide working with global team.
Coordinate and expand community partner meetups and local initiatives.
Assist with execution of community programs including accelerator partnerships, Twilio Fund and our annual user conference TwilioCon.
Assist with day-to-day community tasks.
Support on day-to-day social media and community content.
You are passionate about community building.
You are detail-oriented and can juggle multiple projects like nobody?s business.
You are familiar with online community tools and platforms.
You know and execute best practices within online and social channels with either your own personal accounts or on behalf of another brand.
Experience with event planning and logistics.
You are proactive, developing plans to address new challenges or better current processes.
You are a DOer, a mover and shaker, possibly an influencer in your own network.
You have a bias towards action and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
1-3 years experience in a community management role, or experience with community-focused programs.
An active member of the developer and startup community.
Familiarity with APIs and developer tools.
A strong technology affiliation. You pay attention to what?s new in tech, and have an innate desire to understand how things work.
