You are early in your compensation and/or HR career and are looking to gain hands-on experience with developing compensation structure and strategy. You would enjoy working as an external consultant serving a variety of organizations and industries. You are great at building rapport with our (primarily) HR clients, with the goal of shepherding them through their projects in a timely manner.
About the Job
You will be part of a growing team that provides consulting services to clients. You will serve as a compensation consultant to businesses in the process of establishing compensation programs, partnering with them to develop compensation philosophy, strategy, and base pay structure. You are their trusted advisor and recognized as an expert in compensation.
--Act as the consultant and project manager for 20 clients at a time.
--Establish a base pay philosophy and strategy aligned with the client's business goals.
--Lead meetings with internal HR, business leaders and project leads for the client.
--Strategize with and present to business leaders.
--Benchmark positions to market data.
--Build a base pay compensation structure based on established philosophy and strategy.
--Work with client on implementation plans.
--Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or other related field.
--Minimum 2-4 years of HR experience and familiarity with compensation.
--Excellent Project Management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
--Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
--Excellent technical abilities (familiarity with technology).
--The ability to work with all levels of an organization including Senior Executives.
--Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
