The Job
Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for leading and managing a staff of 20+ employees.
- Manage modification, repair, assembly and final assembly of composites section of rocket
- Managing integration
- Responsible for managing the matching, drilling, riveting, painting and torqueing of the structure
- Resolving reoccurring nonconformance issues
- Reviewing work instructions and making change recommendations when needed
- Meeting tight production schedules
- Responsible for staffing and vetting the appropriate skillset needed
- Assessing and reviewing current staff
- Monitor material costs and cost savings
- Identifying and set-up of training programs
- Monitor labor hours and overtime, and implement improvement plans and time management with staff
Requirements
- B.S. in an engineering field or equivalent experience required
- Composites Lay-up or Finishing experience required
- Minimum of 10 years in Composites, minimum of 2 years in management required
- Safety training and/or safety certifications required
- Experience monitoring and tracking overtime and material costs
- Production experience in Automotive, Aviation or Aerospace required
- Painting and Integration of structure experience required
