Configuration Engineer RemedyMD
Configuration engineers create custom Registries by analyzing customer requirements and configuring solutions based on Mosaic Platform. Configuration entails both mid-level technical knowledge of the development environments, tools, databases, and application servers as well as the strategic knowledge of how the whole system works to satisfy customer needs, including workflow, usability, interactivity, and special needs. We seek candidates with an ability to fundamentally grasp how our complex system works at both the technical and strategic levels and build interactive applications to solve real healthcare problems.Jobs and Responsibilities
? Work with project managers to understand and analyze customer requirements and design technical solutions
? Design and configure web-based medical software applications using Mosaic Builder informatics tools, HTML, JavaScript, and Oracle
? Analyze and resolve custom solution defects
? Identify customer requirements that are most efficiently implemented as custom platform enhancements and work with Custom Development to get those implemented
Required Skills
? General understanding of relational databases; experience with SQL (Oracle preferred)
? Analytical skills, ability to investigate, debug, and resolve problems
? Experience using dynamic scripting languages such as PHP (preferred), JSP, ASP, or Cold fusion
? Experience using JavaScript, VBScript, or Action Script
? BS degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Bioinformatics or related fields
? Flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented
? Able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Skills
? Experience with DHTML, XML, and CSS
? Knowledge of Linux/UNIX, shell scripts and subversion source control
? Experience with website development and tools
? Experience in medical or life science research; experience with Electronic Medical Record software
? Advanced degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Bioinformatics in Biological Science or Engineering
? Database design experience; advanced SQL skills
? Experience with Domo CenterView
