Configuration Management Engineer TransZap
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Reports to: Director of Software Engineering
Summary: The Configuration Manager will design, configure and develop an automated process (?one-click?) to push out a build. This would include the all the system configuration and setup for each environment as well as the actual code push. With the focus on delivering new products and product features there is a need to keep the software engineering team (developer and QA) focused on product development. There is also a great deal of activity on the sales side, which leads to new implementations and new SOW?s. All the new products and implementations also lead to the need for more environments, more code branches and better deployment process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Overseeing a controlled software change process
Managing Subversion: Branching, Merges, Help
Build Management (Manage Hudson)
Manage/Own configuration on all environments
Deploy releases (all environments)
Manage environments configuration properties (all environments)
Assist with new environment setup
Release Management (Change Board)
Communicating changes to the software/environment/configuration
Make sure all changes are documented for auditing purposes
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong Configuration Management and Build Management Experience.
Strong Knowledge of Maven.
2+ years of Jenkins administration.
Experience configuring J2EE Application Servers, not just starting and stopping.
Knowledge of J2EE Security, authentication, HTTP sessions.
Knowledge of Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI).
Worked with RDBMS like oracle.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related
4+ years of Java Software design and development.
