Stratus is currently seeking a Consulting Product Management & Marketing Manager, Cloud Platform Solutions. This position, reporting into the Director, Product Management and Marketing, will be responsible for strategy, delivery, and success of our next generation of product offering.
This role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Be the product owner responsible for the product roadmap working with cross functional development teams.
Drive product lifecycle process through concept, definition, implementation, validation, production and end of life (EOL).
Perform thorough market research and competitive analysis to understand and develop a competitive strategy for the marketplace and position the product in the market.
Lead, develop and execute go-to-market strategy and planning for product messaging and positioning to drive awareness and accelerate customer demand.
Develop marketing content including product collateral and website content for product launches and ongoing multitouch marketing campaigns.
Be the product expert and authority with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
Provide customer-centric view, market intelligence, and business-driven support and leadership to marketing and sales departments, engineers, and other team members throughout the product development and implementation process.
Collaborate with development team to define and deliver next-generation products.
Work with engineering to deliver required product on time, on budget, that meets the needs of the market. Validate key engineering deliverables, milestones, and feature/function decisions.
Act as "voice of the customer." Develop stories, owns product backlog, and sets product development priorities.
Key Requirements & Qualifications:
Strong understanding of software markets ? specifically applications, operating systems, & databases and high availability options ? and server environments including storage and networking.
Expertise and a proven track record with virtualization and cloud (public and private) based technologies. Highly familiar with virtualization architectures for networks, servers, and desktops, across heterogeneous Linux/Windows/VMware environments. Understanding of virtualization market and products, including VMware, Citrix, KVM and Hyper-V is required.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Proven program management and marketing skills. Proficiency in both inbound product management and out bound product-marketing.
Successful track record of leading successful product launches.
Technical depth and expertise required to interact in detail with engineering, support and professional services teams for design and specification work.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with prospects and customers including the ability to actively listen, to comprehend, and communicate their business and technical needs and the ability to address these needs from a customer centric point of view.
Demonstrated ability to be a thought leader on both business and technical issues related to products and markets.
Team player with strong communications, interpersonal, persuasive and negotiation skills. Thinks collaboratively and communicates effectively with people at all levels. Ability to instill a sense of shared vision and urgency. Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences including executive management, prospects, customers, salespeople, engineering and partners. Ability to create compelling product literature and sales tools that drive action.

Demonstrated ability to execute as an individual contributor and willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve the common objective.
BS/BA required, MBA or advanced technical engineering degree preferred, with 7+ years experience in IT industry including systems management, servers and high-availability or real-time systems.
Demonstrated leader with strong ?executive presence,? able to quickly build credibility and confidence cross-functionally and with upper management.
Go-to-market experience, ideally with a strong channel (indirect) orientation and understanding of ISV, VAR, multi-tier distribution.
Highly familiar with virtualization architectures for networks, servers, and desktops, across heterogeneous Linux/Windows/VMware environments. Understanding of virtualization market and products, including VMware, Citrix, KVM and Hyper-V is required.
