Content Management Senior Manager Netformx

Netformx is building a new generation of online repositories of technical data which will standardize the way users search, compare, configure and design networking and data center equipment. As part of this effort NFX is creating a sophisticated self service system on top of a standardized technical and sales catalog. We are seeking individuals with prior experience with complex content management systems to lead the team responsible for executing content acquisition, configuration and maintenance.

The successful candidate will lead the group that converts product information from documents and electronic data feeds provided by vendors of sophisticated electronic equipment such as data networking devices (routers, switches) and telecommunication devices (Voice over IP, telephone switches) into Netformx structured database using Netformx tools, processes, ETL tools and SQL scripting.

The ideal candidate brings previous experience building and maintaining content systems for complex products and previous experience with online configuration. The position requires an individual who is an experienced manager of technical and non-technical content project managers, very knowledgeable about best practices for content management, and experienced leveraging outside resources for accomplishing content acquisition and maintenance goals.

In this capacity, the manager will work closely with Content Project Managers and outside service providers to work with various vendors and manufacturers to ensure the manufacturer's products are understood and correctly represented in the NetFormx Knowledge Base.

A strong candidate will have deep experience in content management tools and techniques and a background in SQL scripting, ETL tools, networking protocols, configuration management, project management and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Oracle databases, maintaining large technical catalogs, web crawlers a plus. This individual must be able to handle a number of simultaneous projects, demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to lead the group in the accomplishment of its goals

The position is located in San Jose.

Requirements:

5-8 years management experience with an ability to attract and motivate excellent Content Project Managers.
Proven track record of working with a variety of nearshore and offshore outsource providers to deliver required content to the Netformx Knowledgebase.
Detail oriented, has effective investigation and problem solving skills to continually improve the groups productivity through efficient processes and fresh ideas.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills are a must
Work in a collaborative environment; work with remote development teams and ability to travel internationally for short periods.
Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Office Applications
Proven experience with ETL tools, SQL is required. Experience with Oracle databases, web crawlers and content management tools/vendors and CCNA a plus.
Basic understanding of networking protocols
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related fields required.
