Opportunity
Healthline is searching for an experienced editor to join its team in an exciting new position. The Content Marketing Editor will be the internal and external evangelist for original content. You'll be charged with overseeing the development of content that supports and accelerates aggressive goals of monetization and distribution. Successful candidates will have experience with all aspects of content creation and management.
This position reports to the VP Content Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Healthline Editorial
As a member of the editorial management team, participate in global editorial strategy and planning.
Identify and leverage synergies between the content production processes for multiple brands. (Healthline, Yahoo Health, Healthymagination, HealthAhead, etc.)
Partner with Social Media Manager to promote and distribute content through appropriate channels and optimize against KPIs.
Track and report on onsite content performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Oversee the development of viral and buzz-worthy editorial packages.
Sales Development/Marketing
Partner with sales and marketing teams to create and pitch custom editorial solutions for key advertisers, managing key components of responses to RFPs.
Execute custom solutions to completion, managing external freelance resources and shepherding content through clinical review and production.
Keep sales and marketing teams constantly updated on site edit planning and programs.
Create sales collateral promoting custom edit solutions.
Business Development
Assist the VP, Content Solutions, with the creation of new business proposals to leading companies spanning the industries of media, pharma, retail and providers.

Key Qualifications
5 years experience in digital editorial creation and management; experience in lifestyle, health and medical content preferred.
Absolute highest standards of editorial integrity, grounded in a solid understanding of content creation as a business.
Professional copyediting skills required.
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time including experience managing a stable of freelance writers and editors.
Ability to quickly master internal processes of production.
Results oriented, self-directed and self-motivated.
Natural innovator who keeps a sharp on eye competitors, audience trends and technological developments.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented.
Strong project management experience
Strong relationship skills, including experience working collaboratively with internal sales and technical teams.
BA/BS in English or a related field.
Exposure to SEO, mobile and social is preferred.
