We are looking for an articulate and creative writer who has a solid understanding of digital marketing and a passion for igniting conversations and growing audiences online.
Under the direction of the Marketing Director the CMS will be responsible for working collaboratively with account teams, digital marketing and in-house design resources to create various types of content and social posts to build audiences and drive engagement and conversions across a range of digital platforms including web, email, mobile and social media for Brandmuscle and key client accounts.
Through the creation and posting of content on social and other online channels you will act as the ?voice of? Brandmuscle and its clients by adhering to brand standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency of tone. The CMS will be responsible for understanding the national corporate content strategies and calendars of Brandmuscle?s clients and developing content that complements those efforts at the local level.
You will be responsible for tracking, analyzing and executing content strategies, ensuring that all deliverables are executed on time and produce a high standard of quality for all campaigns.
Work closely with the Marketing Director and account managers to develop content and posting strategies and calendars.
Create effective and engaging (original and curated) content in the form of social media posts, white papers, case studies, blog posts, articles, sell sheets, webinar decks, infographics, etc.
Write copy for different types of email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotional blasts, nurturing campaigns, etc.).
Generate content that adheres to corporate brand guidelines and best practices.
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
Working knowledge of HTML, Google Analytics, content management systems, and other digital media tools and standards.
Bachelor?s degree in communications, journalism, digital media or marketing required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, commitment to customer service and strong project and time management skills.
Ability to conceptualize, research, understand, and write about a wide variety of topics.
Ability to organize and manage many activities, and prioritize deliverables in a demanding, fast-paced marketing environment.
Knowledge and application of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.
Ability to accommodate various working hours as deadlines and project workload requires.
Some travel may be required.
3-5 years of digital marketing or PR experience required.
2-3 years of web content development experience preferred.
Experience managing social media channels for a business (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+) and WordPress including blogging and promoting content/events/messaging via those channels preferred.
Experience with Marketo, ExactTarget Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and/or Salesforce.com a plus.
