ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical testing and management of hardware, some low-level software tasks.
Experience with testing and mitigating EMI issues in an Electrical design.
Analysis of Electrical and Mechanical design for Design for Manufacturing issues.
Management of Prototype boards for testing and debugging
Use of internet and web tools for components engineering tasks including
o To locate components
o Find datasheets
o Find alternate or second source parts
Orcad schematic capture for updates or modifications
Read and understand electronic schematics
Reviewing Schematic, layout and Gerber files (preference towards Cadence Allegro Viewers)
Update and create documents with MS Word and Excel 2007 or 2010
Configuration of Windows XP and Windows 7 and LInux operating system in a test environment
Basic Configuration of IP and Wi-Fi networks
Troubleshooting to component level on complex analog and digital circuits
perform mechanical assembly and disassembly of units
Familiar with proper ESD precautions
Use of typical bench equipment DVM, O-Scopes, Spectrum analyzers, etc
Analysis and Running tests for EMI, thermal, or vibration/shock
Ability to work with rapidly changing priorities
Self-starter
Prioritize, schedule and complete incoming work requests while providing a safe work environment and a high level of customer satisfaction
Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components.
Diagnose electronic problems and determine how to correct them, checking wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs as necessary.
Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree BSEE, or equivalent 5-10 years of Field Experience.
Proficient knowledge of electrical schematics/drawings, designs and manufacturing
Knowledge of electronic equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Experience with Linux , Windows XP, 7 environment
Experience with basic IP Network configuration in Linux and windows
Proficient verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work evenings and weekends occasionally.
