Guidewire's marketing department is looking for a contract developer to build highly interactive presentation application for a small but demanding user base. The application involves accessing a knowledge base, allowing the user to select, link, reorder, and copy/edit hierarchical information, then persist this arrangement for an interactive presentation (simple animations, drill down). It's a great opportunity to create something fun for Marketing & Sales area with the full support and infrastructure of Guidewire's well-established Development organization. And for the right person it could also lead to further contracts or a full time Development position.
The successful candidate will have:
The project will entail:
- Expertise with Ajax libraries, especially jQuery, jQueryUI, D3, Angular
- Experience working with UX designers, ie taking wireframes, visual design language, and graphic assets, and creating code
- Interest in modern development processes such as Scrum, and pair programming
- Independent problem solving skills, strong debugging and reverse engineering skills
- Developing highly interactive and visually rich Web applications
- Rapid prototyping and innovation in user experiences and concepts
- Architecting the codebase in a way that makes it easy to extend and maintain
- Working with the product manager and interaction designer to review and plan requirements, UI designs, scope and timing
- Embedding in our Dev organization to allow creative and collaborative interaction
