Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Configuration Management with strong Linux Administration skills
?Subversion and git administration, software build tools (make, menu config) and support. (Hudson, eclipse, ? )
?Implement approval and notification workflows
?Linux and software tools administration, IT support for tools and users, scripting in Python, Perl or Bash.
?Provide application level maintenance program on the server platforms, including patch installation, upgrades.
?Rational DOORs Administration
?Administration, new user support, system upgrades, integration to HP Quality Center and routine maintenance for IBM?s DOORS requirements management tool.
?Creation and maintenance of Linux workstation environment.
?Other responsibilities
?Provide expertise in using various engineering tools; consult with business stakeholders, test business process scenarios, and implement changes to system configuration
?Serve as single point of contact for above tools; responsible for problem escalation to internal IT, and vendors, issue resolution and communication
?Proactively manage expectations and change aspects with business user community and other key stakeholders
?Support AS9100 continuous process improvement and process documentation for software development/Configuration management
?Provide a broad understanding of the tools to assess impacts of evolving business models and processes as well as the long term strategy
?Strong communication skills. Willingness to interact and guide others with new software tools.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
?BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 5-10 years with administration experience in Linux, Windows tools and software configuration support
?Experience with Software Configuration management in a Linux environment
?Experience in Network Administration for Linux, Ubuntu and/or CentOS distributions.
?Administrative Knowledge and/or experience with IBM DOORS requirementstool or willingness to learn
?Strong knowledge and background in Linux administration and Windows
?Expertise configuring and managing VMWare ESX and Workstation environments
?Experience with Python, Perl or Bash scripting in Linux environment
?Experience with software life cycle, git and Subversion
?Experience with automated build environments like Hudson
?Practical knowledge of Agile development process
?Strong verbal and written communications skills
?Ability to work independently, serving multiple internal teams, as well as working inclusively within a multidisciplinary or multicultural team.
?Must be flexible and have a positive attitude towards change in a fast moving environment
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Some travel may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
