Who We Want:
We're looking for an experienced technical writer for a short-term engagement based in our San Francisco office. Our ideal candidate is passionate about fulfilling end-users' needs, and can focus relentlessly on simplifying complex technical instructions. You will be working with developers, UX designers, product team members, and clients to ensure our product is easy to deploy and use.
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
5+ years related business experience in content management and synthesis of technical and client-facing documents. Samples of work will be requested.
Demonstrate excellent communication and writing skills, with an emphasis in technical/marketing writing skills, and an ability to integrate complex ideas, strategies, and operational models.
Understanding or experience (technical proficiency or knowledge) of applicable Web technologies (e.g., eCommerce platforms, JAVA, XML, APIs, web analytics, etc) preferred.
Background in latest tools and technologies for information and knowledge management.
Able to meet deadlines and complete multiple projects under extremely tight time frames.
Self-driven, resourceful, and able to achieve goals independently as well as to work well in matrixed groups.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
Ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward.
Able to communicate clearly with peers as well as management.
Ability to interface with product management, development, and services delivery groups to execute delivery of documentation.
