Job Description
This position will be responsible for supporting the Contracts Solutions Group (CS Group) of UnitedLex, including assisting a team of senior associates, junior attorneys and paralegals who support the contracts and procurement services provided by the CS Group to the legal and procurement departments of F500 companies. This position will report directly to the Project Manager in the CS Group and will assist with providing high quality contracts services and well-crafted contracts solutions to UnitedLexs new and existing clients.
Experience and Skills
? BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or other analytical business degrees.
? Paralegal Certificate or relevant legal work experience a plus.
? GSA experience preferred.
? Top academic credentials.
? Prior legal or contracts experience preferred.
? High attention to details; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Experience with contracts management software and other document management systems.
? Commitment to excellence and high standards.
? Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities while maintaining high attention to
quality and detail.
? Demonstrated ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
? Demonstrated ability to think "outside the box" by making recommendations for improvements to
processes and tools.
? Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access) skills.
? Effective time management skills and motivation to succeed.
Job Duties:
? Prepare, analyze and review high volume and diverse range of agreements, contracts, schedules
and exhibits, correspondence, certifications and other legal documents.
? Assist with the maintenance and improvement of legal forms, documents, contract databases,
etc.
? Catalog, track and maintain documents and information for reporting and data management
purposes and for tracking contractual obligations.
? Resolve routine issues such as amendments and renewals and consult with attorneys when
complex legal questions arise that require attorney input.
? Administer processes to: (i) ensure consistent use of best practice terms and conditions; (ii)
ensure proposed changes receive appropriate review and approval; (iii) encourage use of
standard legal forms; (iv) standardize approval, execution and archiving processes; and (v) track
and report all key deadlines
? Prepare project and solutions documentation such as presentations, reports, etc.
? Utilize contract management applications and various other software applications.
? Manage the lifecycle of standard form agreements (e.g., NDAs, vendor contracts, commercial
agreements, etc.).
? Assist with maintenance of the department's contracts management software including the
population of contract details and the scanning and uploading of relevant contract information.
? Offer support to our CS Group's sales and marketing teams in relation to contracts solutions
related requests and inquiries.
? Review of contracts for deviations to standard language.
? Data and process integrity in contracts database, as well as interface with technical support for
problem solving, enhancements, etc.
? Provide administrative support to the department's attorneys, paralegals and other team
members.
