Full-time Position
Essential Job Functions Manage entire life cycle of federal government contracts and subcontracts for both the DoD and various agencies. Administer all aspects of the contracting process including cost estimation and proposal preparation, review and interpretation of contract provisions, summarization of requirements, and monitoring of cost/accomplishments. Negotiate specifications and contractual provisions. Apply knowledge of procurement processes, practices, and systems. Coordinate contractual matters with appropriate departments and resources. Prepare and submit notices and periodic reports as required by contracts. Collaborate with Accounting and Project Personnel in establishing cost accounts, budgets, invoicing requirements, and completion criteria. Assist with commercial accounting duties. Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of FARS and DARS. Ability to negotiate contracts. Must have knowledge of government procurement procedures. Excellent organization and planning skills. Basic accounting skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize activities according to requests and deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software. Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Requirements BS or BA degree or equivalent work experience, or combination of education and experience preferred. 6+ years previous contracts administration experience required. Federal contracts experience required.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
