The Contracts Manager will provide leadership in the procurement of materials and services, such as developing and maintaining contracts with external suppliers, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
Facilitating the development and execution of business and legal terms for all contracts in partnership with Legal and the respective stakeholder groups across the business
Supporting the negotiation process with the supply base or other business partners through completion
Attaining the most advantageous and profitable contractual relationship possible with the partner while maintaining customer satisfaction levels
Developing and conducting the supplier review process, including implementation of a KPI dashboard. Developing supplier risk assessment profiles, recommending and leading any mitigation efforts.
Ensuring compliance with the internal contract review process by relevant stakeholders, including proper sign-offs prior to agreement execution
Directing the efforts of a work team that manages procurement activities of materials, products, and services. Managing, developing, and fostering the growth of the team talent to support the long term growth and corporate procurement strategies; aligning resources to ensure key initiatives are supported.
Leading projects to improve the contract administration process; building and maintaining strong relationships across the organization to promote collaboration aligned with business goal achievement
Extended hours and nonstandard work hours required periodically
Other duties as assigned
5+ years or equivalent background in contracts management, paralegal, or comparable experience within a corporate legal department or in deal desk/operations support role as part of in-house legal team, with primary and autonomous responsibility for reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
3+ years of supervisory, direct or matrix management of staff
Proven leadership in forming new teams, including the development of programs across existing organizational boundaries
Demonstrated competence in managing complex programs involving multiple internal stakeholders, timelines, and budgets
Exceptional interpersonal, team-building and communication skills
Excellent analytical skills and judgment; proven ability to ?think on your feet?
Strong mentoring/leadership skills; ability to motivate, inspire, and engage others
Extensive experience managing team performance, including counseling to enhance or improve performance, expectation setting, and holding individuals accountable for performance and behavior
Preference given for strong financial background
(software industry preferred)
Bachelor's Degree; Masters of Business Administration/other advanced degree or J.D./Law degree from an accredited law school strongly preferred
