The Role
We?re looking for an experienced Controller / Director of Finance / CFO to join a growth stage, venture-backed company that?s increasing revenue, customers, and expanding like crazy. As a key contributor to our leadership team/company, you?ll partner with our financially savvy CEO as you provide expertise in the full range of financial operating functions including accounting, financial controls, risk management, capital management, financial analysis, external financial compliance and Board/Shareholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands on ownership & management of all financial and accounting operations including asset and cash management, budgeting, accounting, financial modeling and accurate and timely production of financial statements and tax filings
Leadership, development, and management of small (yet growing) accounting team.
Ensure all global reporting and compliance activities are consistently managed & met.
Develop and direct financial plans to enhance company growth, create maximum value and leverage market opportunities.
Create and analyze financial reports while continuously improving accounting and business processes.
Establish and oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics across all departments, ensuring all are utilizing costs and financial resources efficiently.
Partner with the CEO to support him in the management of all outside lending and equity relationships.
Formulate Mashery?s overall financial policy and plans, while continuously ensuring that financial transactions, policies and procedures meet both short and long term corporate objectives and regulatory requirements
Work closely with department heads to set appropriate annual and quarterly budgets and capital structures in addition to monitoring key monthly and quarterly indicators.
Sales commission models/plan modeling, development, and overall ownership
Required Skills/Experience:
BS in Finance, Accounting or related degree; Masters and/or CPA a plus
8+ years relevant work experience with at least 3 at a management (director) level
Software industry experience strongly required, SaaS strongly desired
Proven effectiveness and record of leadership at a growth-stage company
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong vision and ability to make forward-looking financial decisions and plans
