Position ScopeThe Controller is a newly created position at InContext Solutions. This role requires an individual with a creative mind who is comfortable engaging on both the strategic and tactical aspects of Accounting. They will need to need to possess a generalist?s knowledge of the space combined with the ability and desire to perfect our current systems/ processes.
Job Description
On a tactical level, the Controller will be responsible for all aspects of the Accounting function of the organization including: Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies as needed. Additionally, he/she will manage the Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process, work with the CEO to plan out our short and long term cash flow strategy and be responsible for exploring new financial and accounting systems and tools. Finally, this individual will be responsible for evaluating current processes and procedures, suggesting potential improvements and implementing best practices.

Possess a Bachelor?s degree at a minimum, Accounting, or Finance is preferred
Have a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Audit space
Demonstrate a track record of working independently with a wide range of responsibility in a fast growth environment
Be an experienced QuickBooks user
Have experience selecting and managing an external audit firm
Have previous experience in the field of software and/or information services
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
