Controller Phreesia

Position:

The Controller plays a significant role in the success of the business. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be a quick study and possess superior problem solving capabilities, intellect, solid data analysis aptitude and excellent written and oral communication skills. You must be comfortable working autonomously and developing best practices. You should be curious about all aspects of the business and understand that your work contributes to our growth and success. Responsibilities:

Financial planning and analysis
Revenue recognition
Implement the appropriate financial and accounting software applications to efficiently manage the business
Prepare monthly financial statements
Weekly ?key metrics? reports and analysis to the executive team
Work closely with company auditors to prepare the annual audited financial statements
Prepare and manage company federal and state tax filings
Manage cash flow
Support the budgeting process
Oversee AR/AP, billing, payroll and employee expense reports

Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience
Experience in public accounting a plus, not required
Familiarity and comfort dealing with legal documents
Some experience working in a start up, high growth company a plus
An energetic, entrepreneurial thinker
Strong analytic and quantitative ability
Natural leader and driver with the confidence and conviction to challenge business decisions on their financial merits
Organized, disciplined, process-oriented
An excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively at all levels within the organization
Very strong work ethic; willing and able to roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done
An undergraduate degree in accounting is required
