Our growth has created a unique opportunity for an exceptional individual to join Meraki as a Corporate Controller in our growing Finance and Accounting Department.
The Corporate Controller will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for managing and directing the company?s day-to-day accounting functions. Experience in SEC reporting, SOX compliance and establishing controls in a high-growth international environment is important to the success of this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Company's leadership team and be required to provide direction to support the growth of the business globally, including in the following disciplines.
Accounting - Oversee the accounting organization to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of the Company's financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure a timely close process in accordance with SEC rules and regulations.
Systems, Processes and Controls ? Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the worldwide internal financial controls consistent with Company policies and regulatory guidelines. Guide and take ownership for maintenance of the Company's financial reporting systems, as the company grows.
Reporting & Compliance - Oversee the preparation and filing of the Company's financial reports and analyses as required by the Board, management, as well as various government agencies including but not limited to the SEC, IRS and other foreign governments. Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filing of all appropriate federal, state and foreign taxes returns.
Tax, Treasury and Risk Management - Responsible to ensure the company?s assets are properly safeguarded and insured and the Company is receiving appropriate returns on its cash balances. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a worldwide tax efficient structure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis presentations to management and Board.
Maintain financial modeling necessary to meet management reporting and analysis requirements and enhance the management reporting results.
Establish formats and schedules for timely and transparent analysis.
Identify cost control and cost containment initiatives, ensuring that the business is run in a cost effective manner.
Managing and monitoring, forecasting and reporting on cash flow and working capital.
Monitor tax compliance.
Assist in special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years' experience in finance and accounting in a mix of publicly traded and privately held organizations.
Experience in a high-growth startup with international operations.
Proven ability to address multi-functional areas including auditing and taxes, experience working with multiple accounting systems including but not limited to GreatPlains and SalesForce.
Leadership experience in growth-oriented situations with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Proven ability to manage and mentor.
An adaptable, solution-oriented business professional with creativity where appropriate.
BA or BS in accounting, CPA preferred.
