THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED This is an opportunity with an established and respected pre-public data security software company experiencing strong growth, and scaling all of its operations. The position will report to the CFO and initially manage a direct staff of 3 employees and an outside agency for the company?s non-U.S. operations. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Responsibility for the company?s accounting function, financial system, and internal controls.
Assessment, revision and expansion of related existing policies, procedures and controls.
Management of the month-end close process for the company?s U.S. operations and non-U.S. sales subsidiaries.
Compliance with U.S. and foreign taxes and associated requirements, including but not limited to employment, income, sales and use, and property taxes.
Preparation and assistance with various financial reports for internal and external purposes.
Lead responsibility for and participation in annual year-end financial audits.
Direction of and participation in activities and the supply of information to outside tax advisor in support of tax provisions and required filings.
Partnership with FP&A function to achieve financial plan objectives.
Support of FP&A in collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Recruitment, management and development of staff.
Lead or contributor to other financial projects, as needed.
10+ years of controller experience in technology companies of $50M+ annual revenue, including at least 5 years in the software industry.
Experience in scaling the accounting and controllership functions from $50M to $100M+ annual revenue.
Controller experience within a public company preferred; start-up experience helpful.
Experience in implementing a new financial system, preferably SAS.
Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Experience in accounting for foreign subsidiaries, including currency translation.
CPA and public accounting experience.
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Impeccable integrity and ethical standards.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must be a working manager, capable of operating in a fast-paced environment, with ability to be flexible in managing change and growth
