If this sounds like you, then continue to read on!The Telerik team is growing and we are looking for a Controller to join our team in Waltham, MA. The Controller will organize the accounting teams of a few of Telerik?s subsidiaries to ensure timely and correct statutory and group reporting, tax compliance, budget preparation and tracking, operational accounting workflow, accounting processes and controls.
If you were a part of our team, here are some things you would have done last month as a Controller:
? Organized the accounting teams and workflow to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of the books within the deadlines for group and statutory reporting
? Implemented monthly/quarterly/annual closing procedures of the books in the ERP software
? Supervised the accounting teams and anticipated in advance the need for additional resources so that all deadlines are met
? Strived to improve collections of receivables, ensuring timely payments to vendors
? Verified that all accounting records are kept accurately and securely and are compliant with legislative and group requirements
? Become increasingly proficient with the ERP software, actively seeking to improve its functionality and customization
? Created, implemented, and enforced necessary accounting procedures, processes and internal controls
? Prepared annual and interim financial statements under US GAAP
? Arranged for the annual audits, including their timely completion to meet the group audit reporting deadlines
? Prepared forecasts and contributed to the annual budgeting process
? Ensured budgets were compliant; consulted with internal budget owners to correctly identify accurate and verifiable decisions
? Participated in the accounting and financial workflow in addition to exercising and implementing control functions for US based team
? Identified and evaluated areas for improvement of profit with particular regard to cost reductions and methodology
You will be the person who has:
? A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master?s degree preferred
? CPA
? At least 3-4 years of experience in managerial accounting and/or controlling function
? Software industry experience highly preferred
? Excellent knowledge and experience with US GAAP, (IFRS preferred), revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and external auditors
? Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP software
? Strong organizational and analytical skills
? Team-oriented attitude towards managing and developing a team
? Ability to assess current processes and implement process improvements to meet deadlines
? Excellent communication skills and a continual desire to learn and achieve efficiencies
