Position: Controls Engineer
Reports to: Engineering
Description: The Controls Engineer reports to the Director of Engineering, and is responsible for design of the control system architecture as employed within our heat engine products. This person will take day to day direction from the Lead Controls Engineer. Emphasis is placed on the following specific responsibilities.
Design control system hardware and software to support products iaw applicable PRD (Product Requirements Document)
Author control system design specifications
Author User Interface Graphics Criteria specifications
Communicate and interact with other members of product teams
Travel to vendors to resolve technical issues and oversee acceptance testing
Develop new, innovative, and value add aspects to control system architecture
Participate in product development and certification testing as required
Participate in commercial Installation and Commissioning efforts as required
Support proposals and customary inquires which promote future product sales

What we view as important in your background that would prepare you for this position:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering w/ controls systems experience
Has familiarity with Allen-Bradley Control Logix / RSlogix
Industry experience working in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Gas turbine or other power generation systems
- Heat recovery steam generator or other heat recovery technologies
- High pressure fluid systems
- Industrial refrigeration systems
- Other complex engineered products that produce power or work
Capable of supporting tasks which may require domestic and/or international travel
Has strong communication skills (technical writing and presentations)
Ability to work under strict deadlines
