Controls Engineer MIOX Corporation
Position Summary:
MIOX Corporation is searching for a Controls Engineer to support internal R&D with electrical and electronics design,
assembly and testing, as well as leading assigned projects from a technical perspective.
This is a regular, full-time position with full benefits package offered.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Controls Engineer shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
? Vendor specific PLC programming and troubleshooting (i.e. Allen Bradley). Proficiency reading, writing,
constructing, and troubleshooting ladder logic programming desirable.
? Leading assigned project teams from a technical perspective.
? Implementing CE and UL certifications across a product line.
? Microcontroller programming and documentation.
? Designing PC board layouts.
? Designing control systems, wiring and block diagrams using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
? Hands on work with PC boards for pre-production or low volume initial production runs; knowledge of soldering,
equipment wiring, and system troubleshooting.
? Working with vendors to transition and setup electronics subassemblies for production.
? Engineering change control process management and documentation.
? Providing support to quality and manufacturing engineering.
? Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
? Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and
systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
? Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
? Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing
activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
? Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and
specifications.
? Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications
and compliance with operational and safety standards.
? Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering
projects.
? Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
Education and Experience required? combination of both or as determined by direct report manager:
? Bachelor?s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering
? 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience preferred
? Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and various industry standards, such as OSHA and NFPA.
Skills Required:
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
? Project leadership experience
? Proven ability to manage time when working multiple projects.
