Controls Technical Manager SustainX
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Responsibilities: Take a manager role in the design and development function to deliver advanced controls that fulfill the product specification, meeting budget and introduction schedule.
Identify and document with necessary disclosure methods intellectual property to differentiate the SustainX product.
Apply design knowledge and experience with full machine design and validation to establish specific work plans that integrate the I/O management and resulting requirements from machine components.
Review design work and progressively confirm design adequacy using design requirement specifications/ P&ID?s, FMEA?s and formal design review processes.
Resolve design review results and apply sound engineering design practices to define the best design options that balance cost and performance.
Fully document the design and interface with sourcing and manufacturing functions to properly build the machine to satisfy the design intent ? addressing reliability, performance and cost.
Simulate using hardware in the loop practices to deliver a working solution to operate and confirm machine performance for market release.
Support all requirements for relevant certification?s, and conformances to defined safety chain.
Document product quoting limits and interact with Sales to fully release and apply the product for commercial operation.
Support, mentor and manage team of controls engineers.

Model based controls simulations
Control Practices and Tools
C and Simulink Code Creation
Specification of Machine Control Logic
Revision Control of Controller Versions
Control Hardware in the Loop Validation
Product Configuration Documentation
Successful technical management and mentoring abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
10 to 15 years designing commercial machine controls & components
Proven problem solving skills
BS Degree Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar applicable equivalent.
Position reports to Director of Controls
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
General office and industrial equipment assembly and operation environment.
