Busy in-house creative team is looking for a creative, smart, versatile and imaginative Copywriter. The ideal candidate will be able to write bold, strategic and persuasive messages in all media for a wide variety of B2C and B2B projects including communications, promotional/marketing campaigns, advertising, product packaging, etc. This position will primarily support print-related projects, rather than interactive.
The ideal candidate is proactive and eager to learn the prepaid industry, with a lot of proven experience in strategic and tactical writing. We?re looking for someone with ability to think strategically about the requirements for each project, and when up to speed will be able to independently research and acquire various elements or missing details.
Experience writing for corporate-level marketing projects is important. The successful candidate has a passion for finding the optimal way to write for each job. While working within our brand voice and tone, the Copywriter will know when to tailor it based on a project?s unique set of circumstances.
? Will attend kickoff meetings and ask the right questions to ascertain the target audience, communication goals for the piece, relevant brand voice, etc.
? Interface frequently with the Creative Director and Brand Director to ensure messages are a good fit for the project and on-brand with our voice and tone.
? Must have excellent communication and organization skills, and a positive can?do attitude.
? Must be able to work comfortably with and without client briefs.
? Must be able to work both independently and in partnership with clients, designers, marketing management and business/product stakeholders.
? Must be passionate and proactive about learning.
? Must have strong proofreading and editing skills with a keen attention to perfection and detail.
? Must be teachable and open to feedback.
? Must be able to work effectively in fast paced environment, handling multiple projects with ease and shifting gears quickly when needed.
? Degree in English, Communications, Marketing or Business
? Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience writing for both B2B and B2C projects
? Must have an online portfolio that shows diversity in a wide range of projects including both short and long form copy. Agency experience highly preferred.
? High level of proficiency in MS Office 2011 and Adobe Acrobat Pro
? Speed and accuracy, attention to detail and ability to proof your own work and that of others
? Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with various employee levels
? Mac OSX environment
? Pleasant, patient personality
? Retail industry experience preferred.
