THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED What We?re Looking For:
The copywriter will report to the senior copywriter and work closely with graphic designers and the brand marketing team to develop marketing copy and plans for 2U?s programs. Responsibilities include:
Create benefit-driven, persuasive copy that promotes programs? unique benefits and attributes while maintaining brand identity and marketing strategy.
Write copy and develop creative concepts across media, including display and print advertising, direct mail/direct response, email marketing, print collateral, websites, etc.
Provide input to Creative Team processes, and maintain an active presence in department meetings and client conferences.
Deliver clear, concise copy on time based on established dates and project plans.
Learn multiple clients? style guides for writing, editing and proofreading of materials.
Proofread and edit marketing materials for clarity, style consistency, spelling and grammar.
Translate complex material into clear, concise and reader-friendly copy.
Ensure marketing information from partner schools is incorporated when appropriate.
Attend and establish planning meetings, as needed.
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 5-7 years industry experience.
Must have breadth of experience across marketing tactics outlined above.
Ability to write both display copy (advertising headlines) and long-format materials (email campaigns).
Must be highly organized and have great attention to detail.
Must have strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
Must have knowledge of AP and Chicago style and experience using client style guides.
Experience in higher education is preferred.
Experience in consumer marketing or in an agency setting is preferred.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically inDesign) is preferred.
