The Opportunity
The Cord Blood Clinical Specialist is responsible for administering CBR?s Newborn Possibilities Program (NPP) and for providing direct scientific support to the inside sales team. Additionally, assist in achieving the scientific, educational, and business objectives of the company through internal and external medical communication and an expert level of knowledge in the stem cell science arena. This position requires working closely with internal sales, marketing, billing, and communications team to ensure consistent messaging current information, and seamless integration.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administration of Newborn Possibilities Program
Perform family history screenings to identify candidates.
Educate potential clients on the NPP.
Manage all clients through the NPP application process.
Preform clinical follow-up with clients enrolled in NPP; make referrals as appropriate.
Work closely with the billing and inside sales departments as needed for follow-up.
Work closely with field sales and professional marketing team to ensure appropriate communication is relayed to collecting physicians.
Maintain, analyze and present data on NPP.
Make recommendations for program improvement based on tends and experience.
Scientific Resource
Learn scientific concepts related to stem cells and cord blood and tissue banking through independent literature review, conference, web research and meeting with Sci Med department.
Attend select external medical and scientific meeting to represent company and maintain awareness of current issues and new research.
Research topics and/or develop summaries to support department or company-wide business initiatives.
Education and Training
A science and/or clinical education background (BA/BS, advance degree preferred) with experience in the Medical/Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry
Additional Requirements
Clinical experience is preferred.
Criminal background screening is a condition of employment.
