Core Engineer Outbrain
Outbrain Atlanta is currently hiring a Core Engineer to help build out our content marketing product line. We?re looking for someone with exceptional skills in implementing new features and maintaining existing code. Content marketing is an emerging force in how brands communicate with their prospects and customers and you can be a key member in this growing industry. Responsibilities
Develop new features to meet product needs
Understand the existing system to assist with maintenance
Refine and improve the development process in collaboration with the team
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years experience working in a rapid application development environment
Strong knowledge of developing server applications in Java
Familiarity with dependency injection, ORM, and query languages
Strong communication skills (we are an international company)
Work in Mac OS X or Linux
Not afraid to learn new technologies or approaches
We are looking for all-around engineers that have one (preferably more) of the following skills:
Experience with XPath, XML and XSTL
Familiarity with databases, No-SQL, Map-Reduce and managing large volumes of data
In depth knowledge of Javascript and at least one framework, such as JQuery or Prototype.js
MVC application development, including data retrieval, middle tier processing, and display
