Scivantage Maxit is the leading cost basis solution for the financial services industry.
This is a unique opportunity for a driven, self-motivated analyst to join a rapidly growing team and help drive the Maxit product forward through high growth phase. As a candidate you have strong experience analyzing international and domestic corporate action events. Additionally, you have substantial technical knowledge of cost basis concepts such as wash sales, tax lot matching and basis reporting regulations. You thrive in an independent start-up environment where results are paramount.
Responsibilities - The Corporate Action Analyst is a high profile position at Scivantage, responsible for providing domain expertise in day to day operations. This position also has client exposure and critical input into product development.
Primary responsibilities will be the day to day analysis of corporate action events and driving the continued development of our proprietary corporate actions and dividends processing and reconciliation.
Contributes to the requirements development process.
Interacts at a high level with institutional clients, including custodian banks, brokers, transfer agents and prime brokers on daily issues and potential enhancements.
Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster strong client ties.
Skills - Position requires a candidate that is smart, flexible and able to perform well with minimal supervision.
Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, where there is an expectation that assignments will be completed on time, with high quality, and with minimal supervision.
Possesses superior writing and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of typical systems used to perform daily operations, including Excel, Bloomberg, and web based cost basis and vendor systems.
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
Effectively balances independent issue resolution with appropriate escalation.
Qualifications -
Bachelor degree required
5-7 years of increasing experience in the financial services industry
Foreign corporate actions experience a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint
Good organizational and time-management skills
Proven skill in managing multiple tasks, establishing priorities and meeting timelines Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact with both Business and Technical team members
Understanding of Cost Basis Reporting critical (i.e. corporate actions, wash sale rules, accounting methods, asset transfer, corporate actions, etc.)
