Corporate Controller - 441 Tensilica

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will act as chief fiduciary over the integrity and accuracy of worldwide financial results. This role will serve as a key member of the finance management team, contributing to all commercial, operational and financial matters maximizing profits and growth in the business. The Controller will direct and manage accounting functions worldwide to ensure the timely preparation of financial statements and to properly record financial transactions. The position is responsible for compensation plan management, cash management, stock administration, worldwide consolidated close, external reporting, SOX efforts and accounts receivable/payable and payroll functions for North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that financial statements are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP
Coordinate the timely and accurate worldwide consolidation and close process
Maintain effective control environment and ensure that all required policies and processes are in place and operational
Perform technical research and prepare position papers on various regulatory matters that affect the Company?s accounting and reporting treatment on various matters
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining a balance with the company?s commercial needs for flexibility
Maintain a close working relationship with the company?s external auditors in order to supervise and assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and external audits
Manage relationships with retail bankers
Corporate tax matters, in conjunction with outside advisors
Coordinate routine 409(a) valuations of the Company?s common stock
Presentations to Audit Committee
Manage, recruit, develop and motivate personnel
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with a Big Four Accounting firm of at least two years, required
Must have held a senior accounting management position at a public U.S. company, managing and motivating staff to meet tight reporting requirements
Be accustomed to the environment of a mid-size international company in the high technology sector
Have excellent knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting
Experience in a rapid growth environment where the individual played a significant role in building a solid infrastructure to allow for growth to occur in a controlled manner
Must have excellent business systems background. Netsuite experience a plus
Knowledge and understanding of tax matters a big plus
Bachelors Degree and 5+ years? experience in industry of progressively senior financial appointments
Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent), required
