CORPORATE CONTROLLER Trion Worlds

Trion Worlds, Inc. is looking for a Corporate Controller who will be based out of our headquarters in Redwood City, California. This position will report to our CFO and will direct all corporate accounting functions, including general accounting, consolidation, internal procedures and controls, management and external reporting, external audits, taxes, and managing a team of eight skilled professionals. In addition, our Corporate Controller will contribute to Trion?s financial planning and overall strategic vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Day-to-day leadership of the company?s global accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and revenue recognition
? Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures, and analyze and report variances
? Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports
? Support month-end and year-end close process, and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
? Act as a business partner across the entire organization, ensuring the accurate and timely collection and distribution of all mission-critical reporting
? Document and improve company business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
? Establish and implement short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance and a CPA license
? Minimum 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, including 5+ years at the controller level
? Progressive experience in dynamic, high-growth organizations
? Advanced Excel, business modeling, and ad-hoc analyses skills
? Knowledge of software revenue recognition, accounting for complex equity and debt transactions, foreign currency, and stock option expense
? Experience with corporate income taxes, sales and use taxes, and European VAT
? Experience with general ledger function and the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and analyses, balance sheet review, fluctuation analyses, gross margin bridges, etc.
? Previous experience implementing an ERP system, upgrading it, and driving project management in accounting areas
? Ability to respond to, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest of standards for completeness and accuracy
? Strong supervisory/management experience with proven ability to grow and mentor a high-performing team
? Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior management, as well as nurture and grow direct reports
ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
? Strong change management skills with a proven track record of driving organizational change and improving functions
? ?Big Four? public accounting experience
? Industry experience in video games, software, or technology
? FP&A experience
? Outstanding planning, research, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
? Strong sense of business ethics, integrity, and discretion
? Experience helping to take a company public
